REFLECTION

Experience
The lectures were interesting as I had the first insight on animation, which one of the subjects I am drawn to. The lectures give me insights and exposure for me to create my very own original character. It expands my creativity horizon, Exercise II of Project 1 in Typography, it allows me to have more flexibility unlike the usual Typography classes where rules and regulations within Typography applies. Exercise II or Project 1 in Typography, I had an opportunity to design my own typography. 

Observation
I realized I struggled when seeking inspiration with appropriate images for projects. Sometimes the ideas I have, I do not seem to be able to match it with images in the internet. However, with the obstacles, with working on drafts, I manage to work around what can or cannot wok. I took me a few “experimental” drafts to come to an concluded decision on the projects. With the guidance of the lecturers who guided me through this process I am able to find my path.

Findings
The Final Project, Visual Novel of Illustration and Visual Narrative, involves drawing human like characters which is my weakness.  With the limitations in mind, I communicated visually through a minimalistic approach. The Final Project, I researched visuals and tutorials on body proportions for me to complete the project. I researched on ways to construct a one-page comic from YouTube videos.

As my journey intro Creative Design deepens, note to self is to always document the journey for the purpose of writing the journals. By constantly documenting the learning process and experience this semester I sometimes come across some parts that I may have left out and revisiting the documented journey, helps me recall it.
